Tucson. The protest is being con sidered, today and the series will probably be continued tomorrow night. i The game was the best played of the season with both teams showing good form. General Motors started off with 2 runs, Johnson and Lindsay scoring on hits by Simundsen, Johnson, a 3-bagger by Lindsay, a 2-bagger by Davis and a walk to Lambie. 99 went out in quick order. In the first of the .second General Motors were retired with dispatch but 99 scored when Windle crossed .the plate on hits by himself, Ratchford, Montesano and Murray. General Motors went scoreless in the third but 99 scored three runs to take the lead with Calderone, Beynon and Windle crossing the plate, each hitting and two runs coming in on Domlnato's double. In the fcurth, neither side counted but Simundsen scored in 'the fifth on his own double, a steal and Davis's sacrifice. Both went scoreless in the sixth and each scored one in the seventh, John son for General Motors and I Ipesa for 99 after hitting a 3-bagger. 99 brought in four run.? in the eighth with Calderone, Ipesa, Montesano and Murray all scoring; General Motors were scoreless ih the first of the ninth and 99 were winners 9-4.
