lacrosse
practice
and
demonstration
at
the
Civic
Centre
gymnasium
last
evening.
Two
teams
made
up
of
former
lacrosse
stars
put
on
a
snappy
game
of
boxla.
After
a
short
introduction
to
"the
fastest
game
on
two
feet"
by
Al
Sheardown
and
three
other
players
were
called
onto
the
floor
to
demonstrate
some
of
the
fundamentals
of
the
game,
including
methods
of
checking,
passing
and
shooting.
Following
this,
members
of
the
audience
were
invited
to
"sign
out
sticks"
and
join
in
the
fun.
Among
the
members
who
took
part
in
the
first
exhibition
game
were
Bud

Graves,
Harry
Sheardown,
Charlie
Maun-sell,
Harley

Centre
gym
on
Friday
night.
