Berner, Pacific Place, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock when their only daughter, Beatrice Annabcllc, formerly iicut-ant (Nursing Sister) of Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, was united in marriage to Robert Geoffrey Winship, former officer of Royal Canadian Regiment in which he saw service of six years overseas. Her bouquet was of rapture roses and heather with streamers of Lily of the Valley. The bride's attendant was Miss Gladys Fisher, of Terrace, for-! merly a lieutenant (Nursing Sister) In the R.C.A.M.C.. who was attired in a gown of white j cobweb lace over pink faile. Her j headdress was of blue Italian j iace veil with pink and blue for-1 get-me-nots. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carna- j tions. The groom was attended by Eric Berner, brother of the bride. The ushers were Alf. Rivett and Andy McDonald. During the signing of the register Mrs. Alf. Rivett played the "Wedding March" from Lohengrin. Following the ceremony a re ception was held. Standing in front of the fireplace, with a setting of salal leaves, pink and white carnations and lilies, the bride and groom received the hearty congratulations of the many guests assembled. The bride's mother, who was gowned in a black chiffon full length dress, wearing a corsage of re'd roses, received the guests. The tea table, covered wth ecru lace' cloth and lighted with pink and white tapers, streamers of i-atln ribbon and pink and white carnations, was presided over by Mrs. Nora Arnold and Mrs. O, A. Johnson. She graduated as a nurse from St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver and nursed for some time in Prince Rupert before enlisting in the Royal Canadian Medical Corps as a nursing sister. After six months at Camp Nanaimo she proceeded over seas and served for 13 months in Europe and nine months in England, returning to Canada to be attached to Vancouver Military Hospital before belmr discharged.
