Taxi Goes One Up In Lively Fastball Semi-finals Match Defeats Grotto 17-0 Before large Crowd at Gyro Park There was a large ,crowd on hand to see the second game in the fastball semi-finals at Gyro Park last evening and their anticipations of a hard fought game were fully realized. A disastrous second inning for Grotto brought In eleven runs for th? Taximen and Murray's men were never seriously threatened from then on, the final score being 17 to 9. This put the Taximen one up on the two-out-of-three series, first having been a tie. Kerr scored in the Grotto's first inning on Ralph Smith's single while 99 Taxi went scoreless though Calderone hit a 2-bagger. Both Moxley and Beynon were finding difficulty in control.
