Canadian boats bring ing halibut here this week were: Kaare. 56,000; Northern Breeze, 40.000; Teeny Milly, 23,000; Dol- llna, 75,000; Zapora, 05,000. . Arrival of six boats bearing 317,000 pounds of halibut at Prince Rupert this week just about winds up the 19 16 season for that profitable -species of fish and brings total halibut landing at this port to above the 13,000,000-pound mark. This, incidentally, is slightly less than the total for the 1915 season. Land ings from regular halibut boats Up to Friday total 13,079,500 pounds at Prince Rupert as compared with the complete 1945 total of 13,585.000 pounds. The 1945 season ended late In September, being a full month longer than the season this year, which closes- at midnight Monday. Totals given for fish arrivals this year are from regular h&llbut boats only and do not include fish brought in by pa?k; ers and from other sources. This week's halibut landings Include 261,000 pounds landed from five Canadian boats and sons in the history of northern river fishing.
