Sc A.M., Terrace. Following lodge in the I.O.O.F. Hall, when the officers and members of Tsimpsean Lodge exemplified the work, the visitors were entertained by Kitselas Lodge in the Terrace Hotel Cafe when over ninety members en joyed a delicious luncheon. The Worshipful Master of Kitselas Lodge, John Hepburn, gave an address of welcome to the visitors in the course of which he made special reference to Walter Vance, thanking him in heartfelt terms for his help to Kitselas Lodge in the past. Averaging about 12 Inches in diameter, the Jellyfish were so thick thac they made the water look "like a field of glass." Usually these jellyfish are seen only in tropical waters. SALMON PACK 110,000 CASES Coastal canned salmon pack up to the week ending July 20 was 110.493V2 cases, according to the latest bulletin issued by ihi chief supervisor of fisheries Vancouver. With the exception of 1013, this is the smallest pack in the last six years. Salmon pack from the Naas and Skeena river areas this year Is 46.293 cases, also the smallest during the last six years with the exception of 1913 when the pack for that area was 26,437 cases. Total pack from District -Two, centred by Prince Rupert, this year is 79,346 cases, of which 30,149 was sockeye. Total pack for the coast, broken Into varieties, shows that so far 75,701 cases of sockeye have been packed, 2,262 cases springs, 747 steelheads, 1.8C5 bluebacks. 14,-533 coho, 9,199 chums and 9.130 pinks. Applicants should normally possess junior matriculation or its technical-school equivalent. Previous trade experience is not essential. There are openings also in many other ground trades. THE PAY: Basic pay plus living allowances for non-commissioned ranks runs from $95 monthly for Aircraftman Class 2 to $188 for Warrant Officer Class'l; extra pay for trade proficiency and increased pay after three years in any rank; marriage allowance of $20 a month; free uniform clothing and medical and dental service. THE PENSION: A lifetime income on discharge after 20 years' or more service; pensions or gratuities in the event of prior discharge on medical grounds, and pensions or, gratuities to widows or children in the event of death while on service. VETERANS' PREFERENCE: As among applicants, war veterans applying for reappointment will receive preference, and if accepted will be reappointed to the ranks they held at the time of their discharge', or to the nearest ranks which establishment permits; and their prior service will be a factor in promotion and pension. TERMS OF SERVICE: Applicants without previous service must be over 18 and under 26. Good conduct, satisfactory medical category and educational qualifications will enable applicants to enlist in Regular Air Force for five years and re-engage thereafter for further five-year terms.
