In the first game of the Intermediate Basketball ' League play-offs, Savoy defeated Bo-Me-Hi by a "score of 59 to 36 last night. It was High School's worst game of the season and Savoy's best which added up to such a one-sided score. Savoy built up their substantial lead mainly through the efforts of ' r "Ted Arney, who kept scorer -George Murray busy through 40 minutes of play. Arney's shooting was nothing " ijess than sensational. He scored : '32 points, a record in the Intermediate League this year, or possibly in any other year. Of course "Arney is quite modest about it .all and," when complimented on his star performance, he gave a , .lot of credit to his teammates, -who ably assisted him. The Sa-Voys guard line was solid and the efforts of Hick Haugan and Hruce Simundson gave the necessary relief. After the game last nighi. The doctor has ordered him away from basketball courts for1 the rest of the season. At present "Foot"j has his own private battle with a severe cold. Throughout the season he was always a good playmaker and ranked with the first half dozen in the Individual scoring lLst. Coach Alec Dili misses hlm.and so does the rest of the league members: Alec say that High School -will be out to win the next game for James and here's wishing them luck. Macey's Wins Over Co-ops In the other Intermediate game last night, Macey's defeated Co-op by a score of 41 to 30. Macey's team Is back into mid-season form. They are once more the smooth working quintette that their coach Bob Houston worked so hard to produce. Their win last night entitles them to play Metlakatla this coming Sat urday. Now comes the paragraph for the Junior players. They always rate four or five lines. However, judging from the brand of ball they are playing, it will only ho a matter of a few years and they will be enjoying "top bllllnsr."
