September but will also be at Sraithers and New Hazelton. He will take a morning service in Smithers,' afternoon in New Hazelton and evening in Hazelton. The pole drive on the Skeena River is over for the present. The water this season was favorable and the drive was eminently successful. Miss Muriel MacDougall spent the Labor Day week-end at hei Tuesday. William Blackstock, ,who for many years was construction foreman for Government Telegraphs, more recently being in the service on the Hanson Timber & Lumber Co., died last week-end in the Hazelton Hospital. He had spent the greater part of his life in the Hazelton district. A widow and six children survive. A large congregation of friends, old and new. attended the funeral which was lield Sunday afternoon from the Hazelton United Cnurch.
