The Swedish press lias quoted the president of the In-, ternational Olympic committee,' J. The city will also seek to enter negotiations for the purchase of the former U. S. Army water tanks on Acropolis Hill which War Assejs lias offered for sale at $15,000. Counsel decided that It was not interested In two other buildings-No. 2 Motor Pool and the Echelon shop which it had previously asked the city engineer to survey as to their possible use as city mechanical-work shops and store houses. Price asked by War Assets for the former was $1,785 and for the latter $2,300. Basis of the price asked for the eymnasium was on an original cost of $30,000, minus $9,000 for depreciation, minus an estimated $3000 for replacement cost for a new roof and also other considerations.
