During the evening it was decided to give $10 to the Women's Co-ordinating Council for the "Over Seventies" dinner and $10 to the Canadian Leeion towards providing Christmas cheer for disabled vets in hospitals. The sum of $25 is also being sent to the Protestant Children's Home in New Westminster for Christ mas cheer. Ham, trusted that he would have the support of the members In the coming year. He spoke of some of his concepts of Gyro. He suggested organized activity among Gyro women. Mayor H. M. Daggett acknowledged the splendid civic work which had been carried oh through the years by Gyro. Dar- ticularly in the way of playgrounds and recreational facilities. It had been a pleasure during his three years as mayor, to be associated with members of i the Gyro Club in various lines of community endeavour. A. S. Nickerson, for the Rotary Club, and R. E. Montador, for the Kinsmen, pledjed the continuing support and co-operation of those organizations in working for t h e betterment of the community.
