Those celebrations have been perpetuated annually since that time in the form of Canadian Legion "smokers" such as was held in the Prince Rupert Armory last night. , An estimated 300 Canadian ilftjslpn members and guests attended last night's smoker which like all of this year's Remembrance Day functicrto, was the 'biggest In recent years. Legion hospitality, too. reached an unprecedented peak. Entertainment was provided by a number of performers, Including J. S. Wilson, who sang two Irish songs, the dramatic monologues cf Reg King, and G. Aubrey Bate and Harry Astoria, and son j by Lloyd Wallace.
