JEEP GOES OVER SLIDE Crossing of Kwinitsa Highway Obstruction, However, Considered Dangerous Prince Rupert's automotive barrier to the outside world has been cracked but not yet broken. A vehicle has been driven from Prince Rupert to Terrace, traversing the 1,000 foot snowsllde which has lain across the road at Kwinitsa since early last winter. Nevertheless, warning is Issued that it Is dangerous to attempt' to drive across the obstruction The vehicle making the cross ing was an army jeep which went from Prince Rupert to Terrace and back on Sunday. According to Capt. Edwards, Army Service Corps officer here, the two men in the Jeep reported a "terrific" time crossing the slide. A second vehicle, a private autpmobile, Is reported to have crossed the big slide coming from Terrace but this rash deed could not be" confirmed. The highway on both sides of i the slide is reported to be in fair shape, without 'snow, and fairly well maintained, although no official reports on its condition were available this morning at the office of Public Works Engineer J.
