J. Scott, who advocated that It be adopted here for the jummer, the members of the Chamber divided, a show of hands Indicating eight members in favor and ten against. TO Mr. Scott's proposal was that the city council be asked to go into the matter of instituting the summer time here. The pro posal was voted down so will go no further. Mayor II. M. Daggett recently announced that it was not the intention of the city to institute daylight saving here.
