The formal opening, however, is not planned until Easter 1947. The hall measures 100 by 50 feet with main floor and full basement. Central feature is the auditorium suitable for indcor sports, social events and ail types of community gatherings. Adjacent to the main auditorium are kitchen, fully equipped dressing and wash rooms. There is a central hot air heating plant. Thomas Underchuk of Prince Rupert has the contract for the building and local native labor, organized by Joe Innes, president of the Excelsior Club, is being employed, the townspeople working with enthusiasm on the project.
