DAMAGED BOAT TOWED TO PORT Holed by a rocn on Nevcmbcr 29 as she sought shelter from storm at White Rocks at the north end of Banks Island, the halibut boat Lorna II. was towed to port last night after her owner, Capt. Hans Knutsen, had spent the greater part of the week repairing his vessel. Lorna II. was towed In by Capt, Carl Giske's Morris II. which went out Monday to try and save the damaged vessel. The Lorna H. rode low, and was kept above water by hand pumps manned by tired crew members of the Morris II. and Capt, Knutsen. Placing of temporary patches and pumping the vessel required more than two'days at, the lonely cove. Towing operations Thursday were hampered by heavy wind, which made the job precarious.
