A small seaplane took Mr. Benson about 15 miles down tne channel where the Camosun hove to and picked him up. The transfer from plane to steamer was effected toy one of the ship's lifeboats which was dropped overside and rowed over to the plane, an operation which was viewed with interest by the passengers. Capt. Ernest Shcpphard stated that, from the time he received the message of his coming until Mr. Benson was on board the Camosun again, 27 minutes elapsed.
