Dobson Honored at Wartime Housinj Community Club To mark their appreciation of the good fellowship shown by one of their number J. S. Dob-son, who is about to leave the city,- the members of the Community Club gathered at the Club House last Wednesday evening. Bridge was played until supper time when, from a flower-decked table, a fine spread- was disposed of with gusto. A few words by T. A. Bryant disclosed to the departing member, Mr. Dobson, the purpose of the gathering and J. Jerome then, on behalf of the members of the Club, presented.him with a fountain pen and a pencil. Recovering his poise, Mr. Dob son responded in his usual happy way with a song suitable to the occasion and, on resuming his seat, was taken aback when a lady member, Mrs. Mat-son, rose to make a further presentation of a very fine pipe a special present from the lady members of the club. The recipient again burst Into song and delighted his listeners. I S. W. Craig spoke of the many happy gatherings that have been held in the club house, of the' lasting memories that shall be carried. B. Beggs was in the forefront with cam era, music and recitation. Musi cal accompaniment to community singing was rendered by Mr, Caine. Mrs. Laughlin and J. Hersch- mlller were in charge of the kitchen.
