(By Dorothy Garbutt) The Service Wives Club met in the Ladles' Lounge at the "Y" Thursday afternoon. The seven pairs of curtains for the forts were finished at last. There were eight ladies and four children present. Mrs. Livingstone won the raffle which was given by Mrs. Oaibutt. Mrs. Sargent and ' Mrs. Livingstone served refresh ments. The crub was happy t3 welcome back Mr. Fugek-m ai.J little Marlon after a long absence, also Mrs. Trltschler and her children. The smaller proportions of the ladles lounge are making it much cosier. Now when we want to have a meeting and get together for a good old chat we con gather in a nice little family circle and not have to shout across the room as formerly. And do we feel luxurious and elegant with the two brand new rugs. Tills time they're ours for keeps. Since we opened up and our Juke box Is working once again I find that I had got very far behind In my musical know-eldge. For Instance, how In the world was I to know that "Be-same Mucho" meant "Kiss Me Much," or that "9n Fernando Valley' and " My Shining Hour" were even now being replaced by "I Loye You." A girl has to keep up wHh these Important They tell me that "Peppy" and "Salty" are growing beyond i recognition that they are pr.i-Ocally the bosses of the gallic I've heard of alley cats but I guess our two are what v,,'i might call galley eat.
