It is the first show to he put on by the Army in Prince Rupert and has leen written, produced and directed entirely locally. Those who have seen recent rehearsals agree that is offers something really outstanding in the entcrtainmnt line. The big response for advance ticket sales speaks well for the interest that is being shown in the production. With lyrics and music ably combined, the libretto for "Cinderella" was written by Sergeant S. R. Carson and Corp. .1. A. Findlay and the music by Private Cliff McAree, the last-mentioned having since gone to the Army Show in Toronto. The script was written by Canadian Army personnel. The whole show is under the direction of Sergeant Carson of Edmonton, who has been prominent in dramatic and operatic work there, with music handled by Signalman Duke Aircy who has organized shows and orchestras in Eastern Canada. For the cast, which is a large and capable one, the undertaking often seemed almost impossible of accomplishment but, with determination and perscvcrencc, the big group held together" and the result is something that service men and civilians alike will be appreciative of. A real "live" show is being offered and there is no doubt that this undertaking,, the first of its kind conceived and produced right here in Prince Rupert, will draw a large measure of patronage. It is of interest that a chorus of C.W.A.C.'s is one of the features of the show. V Ol us iour onow . . .
