Ian Mackenzie, minister of pensions and national health, in a letter from Hon. R. L. Mait-land, attorney-general, who advocated the use of Dlgby Island Hospital as a VJ. Institution. A copy of the letter was re ceived in Prince Rupert this (morning by Inspector Ernest ! Gammon. "It could well be used for taking care of this very serious situation In the north country arising from the present lack of facilities to take care of the (Indian problem, and I am, there- lore, drawing it lo your atten tion with the hope that you may be able to take some action to get the use of the Dlgby Island Hospital for this purpose " TIMELY RECIPES BLUEBERRY SHERBET 2 cups fresh blueberries V2 cup granulated sugar Vt cup water 2 tablespoons orange juice 2 teaspoons lemon Juice Pinch of salt 2 egg whites Pick over, wash and drain ber ries. Crush, add sugar and heat slowly, stirring constantly until the sugar is melted; simmer gently 5 minutes. Press through a fine sieve; cool, then stir In water, orange and lemon Juice. Turn Into the freezing tray of refrigerator and freeze to a thick mush. Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff but not dry. Turn the partially frozen sherbet out Into a chilled bowl, beat until very light and fold in the beaten egg whiles, combining thoroughly. Return to the freezing tray and freeze until firm.
