CONSUMER'S RATION COUPON CALENDAR SEPTEMBER GYRO PICNIC HAPPY OUTING Local Gyro folk, from veteran "grandpa" members to the months old babes of the service club Juniofs, mingled happily on the sunny shores of Aurlol Point in Metlakathi Passage yesterday as the Prince Rupert Gyro Club held its annual picnic. A mid - September extension of Prince Rupert's superfine summer weather lent warm favor to the outing. There was the traditionally lavish hospitality for old and young alike. The crowd was the largest yet, numbering upwards of sixty. The arrangements of Amerigo Dominato, chairman of the picnic committee, went off without a hitch. The trip was made aboard Dr. R. G. Large's commodious power , cruiser, Soogwillis, and there was the customary feat of Bill Stone leaping overboard from the ( wheelhouse roof to swim ashore 1 in leading the procession of landing craft. Thus commenced a happy day given over to beach snorts, boating and other past- Ltlmes including the full enjoy ment of the lunch and evening meals with soft drinks. Ice cream, hot dogs and canteloupes supplied in a measure to amply satify the most Juvenile appetites.
