Special carol singing around the village by the choir on Christmas eve followed the Sunday evening service. At the latter, the choir,, conducted by W. Campbell, rendered an. anthem very nicely. Instrumentalists were E. Lelghton, E. Ryan and J. Auckland, with ' Mrs. Campbell at the organ. Rev. B. Shearman gave a special Christmas message. Christmas morning celebration of the Holy Communion was well attended. The choir again was In attendance i and the singing of Christmas carols brightened the service. Heaviest mall for many years reached the village but was quickly and promptly dealt with through the efficiency of Mrs. Beatrice Ryan, the postmistress. Radio reception at Metlakalta is very good, and the people of the village appreciated the Christmas program of the Rupert CFPR radio station.
