Spofford, senior en gineer at the Prince Rupert General Hospital, was granted a bonus equivalent to two weeks' pay by the board last night in view of the fact that he had not taken holidays last year when It was difficult to obtain relief. The action, it was emphasized, was not to be considered .as a precedent. A letter from Olof Hanson, M.P. for Skeena, advised the hospital board at its meeting last night that he had interviewed the minister of pensions and health in regard to a pro-posal that the Royal Canadian Air Force Hospital at Miller Bay be taken over for use as a hospital for natives suffering from tuberculosis.
