Felthensal, head of the People's Store organization here, who returned to the city Saturday night from a five and a half weeks' business trip to Montreal, Toronto and other eastern cities. There should be no delusions, however, about an unlimited I supply, says Mr, Felthensal who i could not give any Idea when jthey might start arriving. The new girdles will be of synthetic rubber. It is ten months since the last girdles were available. Speaking generally, Mr. Fel- senthal says there is hot much easing up in the civilian supply of clothing, Presbyterian Choirs Are Getting Gowns The senior and Junior choirs of First Presbyterian church ex pect to be gowned before the end of the year. To raise funds for the purchase of the gowns, the choir Is to hold a supper and concert in the church parlors a week from tonight. TED LEPAGE DECORATED I Lieut. Commander T. N. Le-Page, formerly of this city, has been decorated again for work in salvage operations at Naples. This time it is the United States Navy bronze star medal for "meritorious- service and conduct." Already an Officer of the British Empire, H is the second American decoration for Lieut. Cmdr. Page who in ugust was made an officer of the Legion of Merit. He Is principal assistant to the director of United States naval .salvage operations at the port of Naples. Quick thinking and speedy action on the part of Jean Payne, age 7, and her sister, Shirley, age 6, probably saved the life of Avis Mould, 9, when Avis walked out on a newly frozen lake and broke through the Ice about 20 feet from shore. The two little girlcs crawled out onto the Ice and with a stick helped to pull their companion to shore.
