Holds Picnic The Anglican mission boat Northern Cross ferried 35 children and their supervisors over to Dlgby Island on Thursday afternoon to enjoy the annual pic nic of St. Andrew's Cathedral Sunday School Loading its precious cargo at the Yacht Club floats, the boat discharged at Dlgby an occupa tion force which soon won a sizeable beachhead from the forces of solitude and made the place alive with general picnic din. Like any enterprising group of commandos the picnickers took their living from the country which surprisingly yielded an abundance of Ice cream, ho; dogs, sandwiches, and other ex otic foodstuffs. Dishman Buried Sunday Well attended by his former comrades in the Canadian Legion and other friends and associates, the funeral of Frederick John Dishman took place at 2:30 Sunday afternoon from the chapel of the B.C. Undertakers on Second Street. Captain F. H. Joplln, area army padre, officiated. The deceased was a veteran of the 221st Battalion, First World War and the funeral was under the direction of the Canadian Lesion.
