Some political observers are claiming that the recent swing toward the C.C.F. which hail been evidenced in some provincial general elections and federal by-elections has passed the crest and is now receding. The Vancouver civic election, it might be suggested, indicated this recession. The failure of the C.C.F. to elect a single candidate to civic governmental bodies in Toronto may be taken by some as a similar indication.
