Koblanski paced the Navy marksmen, scoring in the first half to put them In the lead and securing another counter in the second half. Dry Dock endeavoured to gain the equalizer in the Initial hah only to be foiled by the opposing goal-tender. On one of the ship builders' scoring attempts, Gardiner, the Navy goalie, stopped four close-in shots fired In rapiu succession. Heavily Burdened SALVATION ARMY CAMPAIGN IS ON The Salvation Army Home Front Appeal has opened a two weeks' campaign in Prince Ru,-ert, a committee, headed by Di. R. G. Knlpe as chairman, is as siting officers of the local detachment of the Army in carrying out this drive for funds. An objective of $4,000 has been accepted for this community. A direct appeal will be made to the business houses of the district but there are not enough available volunteer workers to carry out a house-to-house can vass so a committee of ladies, with Mrs. P. L. Gorric as convenor, is opening the Victory Loan Hut on the Post Officii grounds every afternoon from 2 to 6 and every evening from 7 to 9 o'clock for the receiving of j donations. G, R. S. Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary To Be Celebrated Albert Richard Holtby, retiree bridge and buildings master, and Mrs. Holtby, of Prince Rupert, will celebrate their sixtieth wedding anniversary shortly. The were married at St. George' Church, Montreal, on September 23, 1884. Mr. Holtby was born at Rawdon, Que., in 1859. He entered the service of the former 'Canadian Northern Railway at. i Quebec In 1903, as general car foreman. He transferred to tho Grand Trunk Pacific at Prince Rupert in 1910 as bridges and building master, three years lat er becoming superintendent. In 1919 he again became bridge and building inspector, a post tlon he retained until 1931 when he retired under the pension regulations of the company.
