This brings the season's catch to August 18 to 8,106,300 pounds. Six American boats and one Canadian vessel arrived this week. The former brought in 206.000 pounds, and the latter 30,000 pounds. The heaviest cargo was unloaded Wednesday from the American vessel Mar-tlndale. Up to Friday. American boats had brought in 3.004,500 pounds, and Canadian boats 5,101,800 pounds for the season. More than three-fifths of the canned salmon packed In B.C. during the week ending August 12 was packed in District 2, which includes Prince Rupert, according to the weekly summary Issued by the supervisor of fisheries, Vancouver. Of the 494533 cases packed along the coast, ,324,742 cases came from Area 2. The Naas and Skeena districts accounted for 180391 cases. With the decline of the sock-eye run, the pack of spring salmon moved Into first position, formerly occupied by sockeye in District 2. During the week, 135330 cases of springs were packed, and 120,029 cases' of sockeye. However, the sockeye pack on the whole coast was considerably ahead of the spring pack.
