He had arrived here from Van couver where he went for treat ment. Born in England the late Mr. Preece came here from Smithers district where he engaged in farming following the First World War' in which he served overseas. For years he operated the Bulkley Market of which he disposed to the present owners before he left the city for Houston. Deceased served several terms as president of the Canadian Legion here. Mr. Preece was predeceased by his wife two or three years ago. A sister-in-law, Miss Edith. Gan-dy, lives at Houston.
