this
work
for
prisoners,
the
Junior
Red
Cross
war
effort
has
also
sent
out
millions

knitted
articles
and
blankets
to
the
fighting
forces;
thousands

splints,
for
broken
limbs;
mobile
kitchens,
canteens
and
ambulances;
maintenance
of

nurseries
in
Britain;
relief
for
the
war-stricken
children
of

Greece,
Russia,
Poland
