In charge of all YWCA War Ser vice work from Winnipeg to the Pacific Coast, Mrs. Miller has her headquarters in Edmonton but spends much of her time travelling through the area. At the Y.MCA Gymnasium Air Force defeated 29th 9-2 In last night's Floor Hockey League fixture at the "Y". It was the sixth straight win for the airmen and no losses to give them a five-point lead over the second place Navy team. Regiment played a fine game but Just didn't seem to be able to get around the R.C.A.F. defence of Court and Winger. In the only other game played last night at the Navy Gym, Navy defeated Fortress 6-3. This game broke the second place tic between the two teams and put Navy two points ahead of Fortress. Both teams played a hard, close checking game In the first period with the score tied 1-1 at the end of the period. The Fortress had a temporary lapse during the sccorfd period and Navy slammed In five fast goals.
