Box 1294 i JOE GARON'S by BROTHER DIES Was Kighty Years Old and Oldest Member of Family of Twenty Children Oldest member of ' a farriily which originally consisted of 20 children and French-Canadian pioneer of the west, Adelard Garon, brother of Joseph Garbn of this city, died yesterday morn ing at his farm home near Plcardville, Alberta. He was 80 years of age and was born in Quebec but spent most of his life In the west. About 20 years ago he paid a visit to Prince Rupert. The late Mr. Garon had been engaged in farming at Picard vllle, north of Edmonton, since 1908. He first came west in 1901 and went to the Yukon with Joe Garon of this city. Last year he revisited his home in Quebec with Joe Garon. Deceased is survived by his widow and seven grown-up children as well as six brothers and four' sisters. The funeral takes place at Picardville on Thursday. R. and was the 'first of its kind attempted by this organization. The menu consisted of special Norwegian dishes and also various meats, fish, vegetables, salads, relishes, cakes, cookies and fruit filled elly, all of which was donated members and friends of the congregation. The tables were decorated with Canadian and Norwegian flags. The young wo men serving were attired in the national costumes of Norway.
