LETTERBOX WEST END VANDALISM Editor, Dally News: A short time ago there was a' letter in the paper about vandalism in ihe East end' of the city. Now it has reached the West end. On the evening of September 12 a numbe of boys came down Second Ave. and saw a nicely trimmed hedge. They immediately jumped Into it, doing more damage in two minutes than I can hope to repair in a year. It took eight years to get this hedge to the condition it was in. If too much of it Is not killed it will take two years to grow it back in again. These were not young irresponsible boys but were of High School age and knew quite well the damage thsy were doing. It takes a lot of hard work and patience to mate: a garden here and to have it spoiled in this way is exceedingly annoying. AN ADVOCATE OP A CITY BEAUTIFUL.
