The Rupert nine, despite threatening weather here, made the trip to Terrace and were completely showered by a score of 18-9. "Chicken," pitcher for Terrace, held the Rupert squad in check from start to finish, scat tering his hits throughout the nine innings and bearing down well in the pinches. As small as he is, "Chicken" has all the earmarks of a senior hurler in the coming years. Jimmy Platen started on the mound' for Rupert but gave ground after a barrage of walks and hits that netted Terrace four runs in the first Inning. Jimmy McDougall took over the hurling duties only after Rupert was on the losing end 9-5 at the end of the third inning. The first half of the fourth saw Rupert rally for a four count to tie up the ball game. McDoug- all singled and Sparky homered scoring both runs. Greenway flied out and Owens grounded out to third. A smashing double and single by Skippy and Jones respectively were good for two more runs. Terrace retaliated in the lat ter part of the Inning but to no avail. Carl, first up, grounded out to third while Ron advanced to first on an error by Green- way. Turkey drove for a double. Bush struck out as Turkey was called out for a lead-off, retiring the side. The fifth saw Rupert once more try to weaken the little "Chicken." McDougall flied out and Sparky collected his second big hit of the game. Gree'nway singled, advancing Sparky to third. Owens flied out leaving his buddies stranded on bases. Terrace had a big innine in the sixth.' Bush doubled and Pratt lined a smashing single. Hipp rued out and "Chicken" walked, filling the bases. Bush scored on a passed ball as Pratt was nipped stealing third. Moon reacnea urst on an error and Paul walked, filling the bases for the second time. Carl was walk ed scoring "Chicken." Ron play ing spectacularly at short-stop for Terrace connected for a long homer between left and centre. Turkey grounded out, retiring the side. For the next three innings, "Chicken" held the opposition well in hand by shutting out the Rupert squad. Bouvet, at right field for Rupert, robbed Ron of his second homer with a beautiful one-hand catch that was well applauded by the spectators. As the game ended Prince Rupert were trailing Terrace 18-9. After the game the boys were LAND REGISTRY- ACT Re: Certificate of Title No. 22752-1, to Lot 161, Queen Charlotte District, said to contain 23 acres, more or less, except a strip of land one chain in width measured from high water mark and also except Part lying South of a line being the production West of the Norh boundary of Block ' "A", of District Lot 160 to high water mark of said Lot 161; WHEREAS satisfactory proof Of loss of the abnvp Cprtlfieatp of Title Issued in the. name of James Barratt Glllatt has been filed In this office, notice is hereby given that I shall, at the expiration of one month from the date of the first publication hereof, issue a provisional Certificate of Title in lieu of said lost certificate, unless in the meantime valid objection be made to me In writing.
