Today in Sports Sunday Double-Header PRINCE RUPERT DEFEATS KETCHIKAN IN INTER-SERVICE BASEBALL GAMES More than 1500 enthusiastic ball fans packed the stands on Acropolis Hill diamond Sunday afternoon to see the Ketchikan Coast Guards lose both ends of a scheduled seven-inning double-header to the Acropolis Hill Browns, Army team of the Prince Rupert Sub-Port of Embarkation by scores of 2 to 1 and 9 to 7. The Point Higgins team from Alaska was the first to score when Nobles sent Devorak scur rying across home plate in the first half of trie fifth innine. In the last half of the fifth, the Browns retaliated with two runs driven in by Hoppe, big gun of the Army nine. This was the only scoring for the game.
