Music was by Evan Cole and his talented niusiclaas who made up an excellent orchestra. Jack Gabel was a genial master of ceremonies. The general committee con sisted of George Stanton, E. Archer, J. Gillandcrs, and T. J. Nicholl. assisted by women members of the Union, was in charge of refreshments. E. Russell and A. The concert was held in the Oddfellows' Hall and me pupils cn-joved it very much. They recommended it highly to their narcnts and friends who had the opportunity of seeing It on Friday evening. Tlic concert was excellent and spoke cry well for the pupils taking part and for the teachers, Mr. Barr and Miss Hall, who arranged it. Alec Houldcn was master of ceremonies and Allan Dubcau was the piano accompanist. The concert opened with the singing of "O Canada." Tills was followed by the first song ' Come Where the Bluebells Sing' Tor which the girls were massed on the stage. Then Allan Duboau did a piano solo in burlesquqc style which was very well re ceived. Tlie first play was Luncheon for Six" in which Bcrnlce Sandc ,Bctty Coldweii, Joyce Poole, Norbcrt Cote, Archie Strlmboldt and Norman Bernhardt took part. Next came a violin duet by Janet Coldwell and Helen Somcrvlllc who were accompanied at the piano by Betty Coldwell. "The Yarn of Nancy Bell," a dialogue by Alex Houldcn and Charles Cote, followed this. The art class had prepared an appropriate and effective background for its por trayal. Then came a piano solo by Betty Bissonnctte, two songs by the girls, "My Own" and "The Umbrella Man," a piano solo by Allan Dubcau, "Polonaise." and a vocal solo, "The Grecn-Eycd Dragon with the Thirteen Tails" by Mr. Barr. The last play was The Devil's Stone," with Edna Toop, Irene Haugland, Jacuellnc de Kergommeaux. Allan Dubcau, Ray Sandc and Parker Mills as the players. The program concluded with the song. "Swinging On a Star" in which the girls simulated the animal parts. Captain J. Taylor, R.C.E.M.E.. left on Friday night's delayed train for Prince Rupert and is expected back on Monday. Major Campbell Dow returned on Saturday night's train from a trip to the south. Dr. Roger Knipc, director of the Prince Rupert Health Unit, spent yesterday in Terrace On official duties. Mrs. Dudley Little returned to Terrace on Wednesday night's train from a trip to Vancouver where she represented the Terrace and District Branch of the Canadian Red Crass at its annual convention. She will make a report of the proceedings of the conference at a general meeting of the Rod Cross which is to be held in the work room Tuesday evening.
