In a closely-contested game last night at Gyro Park, the Gyro Nine were victors over the Knights of Columbus in a thrilling Junior Softball game in I which the outcome was not de- j cided until the last inning when ! the Gyros scored the winning' run. Both teams played excellent ball. For the Gyros Glen Olsen and Everett Pierce did the hitting ana scoring. Don Scherk started the pitching but was relieved by Lefty Mostad who was credited with the win. For the K.C.'s Jimming Mac-Dougall was hurler and turned in a good game. Larry Moore and Archie Ethier were very effective for their team. This game was full of excitement as both teams did effective hitting and fielding. The outcome was Gyro 7, K.C. 6. July 20 Dr. Stanley Mills pressed at the last meeting of the Terrace and District Board of Trade for some actloa in regard to providing hospital facilities at Terrace, at least for emergenr-y cases. It was suggested that the old army provost hut might prove suitable for such use Suggestion was also made that the timber operators of the district might contribute toward the erection of a suitable building.
