KITWANGA HAS BUSY EASTER Church Services, Social Gatherings and Sports Events KITWANGA, April 5 (Special) Easter was an active period at this Skeena River village, beginning with a day of devotion on Sunday and continuing Monday with a sports festival and a banquet in the evening. ) Villagers turned out in large numbers to attend St. Paul's 1 Anglican Church where Rev. J. Hayhurst spoke on the subject "The Risen Christ." The lesson reading, In the native tongue by Harold Sinclair, was from the twentieth chapter of St. John. Mrs. Hayhurst was organist. Evening service was held in the Church Army Hall and was conducted by Field Captain Solomon Bryant. The sermon was preached by Mark G. McKay of Kltselas who took his text from the nineteenth chapter of St. Matthew. Edward H. Benson was organist at the service. Easter hymns and anthems were sung at both services. At a banquet in the community hall Monday evening a warm spirit of friendship pervaded and , welcome speeches were made to the visitors. These Included Adjutant Mark McKay of Kltselas, (Chief Ernest Smith of Kitwan-Icool, Mr. and Mrs. Gregg of the (Hudson's Bay Company post, Mrs. Raymond Morgan, who recently arrived from England, Rev. and Mrs. J.
