Tomorrow we observe with full appreciation of the occasion the twenty-seventh anniversary of the ending of First Great War and we call it Reniembr ance Day. It is especially set aside for the renewing of our homage in reverent and respectful memory of those who fought and fell not only in that first conflict but now in the second even . more terrible matching of the arms of modern warfare. t We rejoice that the fighting men have now discharged their task of battle and that peace has been restored. They have done their share in paving of the way for a better ' world and it is through no fault of theirs if the task seems still uncompleted and that man has not yet been convinced of the futility of sustaining the elements which provoke warfare.
