Former scene of many dancing parties, the most memorable to Prince Rupert citizens being the President's Birthday Ball last spring, the gym was crowded with several hundred soldiers of the Prince Rupert sub-port of embarkation and their guests. Music for the dance was provided by the Sophisticates, under the direction of Sgt. Johnny Stroessler. Refreshments were served. The farewell dance was arranged by Capt. Louis D. Magu-olo, Special Services officer, Lt. Robert C. Farmer, and Staff Sergeant Merv Willoughby. Many of the soldiers who attended will be leaving Prince Rupert tonight.
