TODAY ONLY MONDAY Aim.-.-.- MAJOR HARVEY (Continued from Page 7) the Progressive Conservative party offered to labor was based on the principles of co-operation between labor and management under a system of free enterprise. In New Zealand the socialistic government had increased taxes until they were four times what they had been before, said Mrs. Rolston during her address. In Australia, which had watched this experiment in New Zealand, it was the labor government that had chosen free enterprise in place of socialism. The needed change was coming next week, she assured the audience, but not to the defeatist policies of the C.C.F., but instead, to the broad, enlightened program bf the Progressive Conservative party Business Women Tender Supper Oh Tuesday, the Ocean Falls Business and Professional Women's Club held a buffet supper in their club rooms in honor of Mrs. Rolston and Major Harvey. The president introduced Mrs. Rolston who in her address stressed the power held by this women's club. It was the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of B.C. that had forced the provincial government to have three women put on the B. C. Rehabilitation Council which had been formerly composed of seven men. The women had been able to make many helpful suggestions. Major Harvey spoke briefly, extending his thanks. He said that such a well arranged club would be an excellent voice for suggestions in the Interests of working women in particular and the community in general. If he was chosen their representative at Ottawa he would give any communications from this club his earnest attention. FIRST B.C.
