RIPE CUCUMBER SOUP Brown two tablespoons of chopped onion in two tablespoons of hot fat. Add three cups of peeled, diced ripe cucumber, Vz cups chopped ripe tomatoes and lVz teaspoons of salt. Cook gently until tomatoes and cucumbers are soft. Meanwhile make 2V2 cups of thin cream sauce. Rub the vegetables through a sieve, adding the pulp to the hot cream sauce. Serve very hot with toasted croutons. This makes six servings. ONION .SOUP This gourmet's delight Is not at all hard" to prepare and Is guaranteed toT become a family favorite. You will require six medium onions,' sliced; two tablespoons of mlld- flavored fat, two tablespoons of flour, 23 cup of milk, one quart ' of well-seasoned bouillon, six slices of toast and Vz cup of grated cheese.
