Devexilih, C.N.R. vice-chairman, at the Devenish Cup presentation at the local dry dock, Bernard Al len, (shipyard manager, stressed the great .pleasure it -jave to all to have Mr. Devenish ccare to make the presentation. He re grctted that Mr. Deveniiih's itinerary brought him here on a holiday, but, in view of other commitments, that had been un-, avoidable. He was glad to see so many in attendance. For him self, the reports that he had received while in Montreal cf the progress of the Eighth Victory Loan campaign in the yard had sive-a him very great pleasure. He lelt that the offering of the Devtm-lsh Cup had provided an effective stimulus to the sale of bends. Before presenting the cup, Mr. DevEniilh expressed the great pleasure it gave him to come to Prince Rupert to present another cup for outstanding achievement in leading for the 6econd time all the divisions in western region of the Canadian National Railways in the Victory Loan campaign. If, as Mr. Allen had stated, the offering of the cup had given an additional incentive he was velry happy about At. The campaign had been followed with keen interest by the 29,000 employees of the western region.
