Party ATHLETES GIVE HOT DOGS, COKE BAD BEATING Strong muscles and a growing athletic ability were not the only rewards reaped by young members of the Boilermakers Athletic Club who took part in the activities of the 1944 season. The readily appreciated social benefits of hot-dogs, Ice cream, doughnuts and soft drinks were enjoyed at a party held for the boys at the Seal Cove Gymna sium Saturday. Some 35 boys who have at tended the boxing and physical culture classes during the.sea,-son were entertained by the club leaders and threw themselves into the spirit of the afternoon with all the fervor they usually put Into their athletic training. The ice cream particularly came in for heavy punlsftment and remained under attack until it gave out completely. Presentations of wallets and gym shirts to the boys who took part in the boxing and gymnastic show on Boxing Day were made by President George S. Stanton and Johnny Colllng-wood. Performing the important task of keeping the boys supplied with hot dogs were committee members Ernie Russell, Riley Viereck, Bill White, Bert Loughlan and Bill Murphey. Mr. Ferguson, who looks after the gymnasium, exercised his usual careful supervision. Just as they were held scoreless for three quarters In their last game w!th Bo-Mo-Hi at Seal Cove, the C.W:A.C.'s found It hard to break into the scoring column last night.
