Total halibut brought to this port since the .season's start to Friday, was 2,750,500 pounds. Last week saw the arrival of a greater number of American boats and their catch LS almost one-a.uarter of the total of halibut landed here. American boat? have brought In C10.500 pounds In 16 vessels since the opening of the season. Last week they brought In 594,500, while Canadian boats landed 928,000 pounds. Heaviest catch brought here so far this season was landed by the Vancouver boat, Joan W II on May 9. She brought in 67,000 pounds to Canadian Fish and Cold Storage. Between May 12 and May 18, 1,522,500 pounds were brought to this port by 64 boats. Landings for the first 12 days of the season totalled 1,228,000 damaged by fire last week, Is now at the dry dock awaiting repairs. She suffered extensive Interior damage when a spray of flaming oil spurted from her furnace and Ignited her engine room and cabins as she lay at the Phllpott-Evitt wharf.
