The "hams" elected officers and heard the aims of the organization outlined by Frank Parlette whose, efforts were very largely responsible for forming the group Officers of the new organization are Constable, Robert Kyte, president; Leonard Hagg, vice-president; Frank Parlette, secretary, and Robert Silversides. treasurer. Alms of the organization, according to Mr. Parlette, are mutual instruction in cedes and technical problems, assistance in obtaining licenses; to take collective advantage of develop- mcnts in electronics. i Broadcasts by local "hams" will have a high publicity value for Prince Rrpert, Mr. Parlette -ald. At present, there are about half d dozen licensed amateur operators in Prince Rupert, al though there are not that many sets operating. The next meeting of the group will be held in two weeks.
