During the second and third quarters the Co-op defence fell apart and. the Kitkatla team began booming in baskets right and left. In the fourth quarter Co-op fought1 hard and again had the edge of the play but it was a case of too little and loolate. The final score was 71 to 35. After the game, Joe Innis, president of the Kitkatla Excelsior Club, extended thanks and an-, preciatlcn to all visitors present. During the same play General Motors took two games from' Savoy and B.A. Oil were awarded three over the defaulting" Taxi' team. High individual score for the session was rolled up by Joe Davis of General Motors, whose highest single game score was 201, and whose three-game total added up to 520. Tallying the number of pins collected, Savoy is out in front, followed toy Imperial Oil, B. A. Oil, Watts & Nickerson, General Motors and 99 Taxi. Predictions are that with no more defaults allowed in the league, Savoy or Imperial Oil should come out on top at the end of the season, with B. A. Oil giving a good account of itself. Among the Big Ten, Savoy has two men leading the way, while B.A. Oil has two names included, and Imperial ' Oil Five. Here ale the results: IMPERIAL OIL G. Howe 118 179 167 V. Packers in the Saturday night hoop card in the Civic Centre to win with a 50 to 34 score. It was a game out very much weakened B.C. Packers squad that faced the rejuven ated Rainmakers quintet. The Packers have suffered the loss of some of their players and faced the students with only six men. Even so they put up a stiff defence for the High School to crack. It was not until the third quarter, however, that the pace really began to show on the Packers. At the end of the first quarter the green-and gold lads were out ln: front toy only two points, 10-8. They increased their lead by p. few points to come into the much-needed half-time breather on the long end. of the 23-17 score, nut u tne rest period was to have put some more fight back into the" Packers it put even more into the students who jumped well out In front by the end of the third period.. With a 41-26 score 'facing them, the Packers put up a last quarter battle whidh held 'the students down but which could not de crease the ,gap in the' score. Hartwig and Thomrason led the scoring parade with 13 and 12 points each The crcwd got a big bang out of the friendly feud1 that was IV progtflis during the game. It was comical to see Lavigne and Gur-vich riding each other through out the ganie, milling at each other's uniforms arid other little annoying things which were not dirty but were highly irritating to the one on the receiving end. But throughout the first half they seemed tot be kept pretty well In check; by the aggressiveness of the Clothiers' squad. The score at the end of the first half stood at 15 to 12 for the Gyro. In the last1 half D. Scherk of the Gyro found the mark and dropped in 10 of his 15 points to help lead his team on to the victory. Outstanding feature In this game was the number of fouls handed out toy Referee Boyo Gurvich, 32. These watches are not really new but it was not till about 1930 that they came into quantity production. The timekeeping parts are similar to the regular watch with"the addition of the self-winding attachment which Is a swinging weight which operates by a ratchet when the wearer's arm is moved. Some advantages 'are that the watch is always fully wound making a constant tension on the stem mainspring, preventing breakage of springs and stem. There is a special device to keep the watch from overwinding. We have a very satisfactory model at $37.50. Also the famous Mido at $60.00. Omega has recently produced their master at $82.50.
