BORDEN STREET SCHOOL RESPONDS Children Give Generously to Aid to "China Fund The pupHs of Borden Street School responded generously to the appeal for the Aid to China Fund and, when final figures 'had been tabulated, the gra tttylng total of $31.32 had been contributed. First of all, the attention of 'the children was drawn to the appeal In the regular weekly. assembly and then each teacher discussed the needs of the Chi nese people. Three of the dlvl stons made their objective of raising more than $5 as "that was the amount stated in the circular as being enough to save the life of one ch41d. , Grade Four, Mrs. Seaman's division, led with a total of '$729. Grade Three, Miss Sim's division, was a close second With. $7.19. Grade x, Mr. Wilson's division, also passed the 'five dollar objective with $6.36. Even Grade One, MLss Barton's division, almost reached the 'five dollar total, their amount being $4.45. j A pleasing feature was the way in which many children made the two and even three contributions, making the additional donations as they earned or otherwise obtained a little extra money.
