With all the weisht bearing down on the pinnacle of rock the ends of ths boat began to sag, the window shattered under the strain and the buckled smoke-stack came crashing down. Partially dammed by the broadside of the Pheasant, the water plied up and pushed the stricken craft on over the rock. But the Pheasant had been holed and her back was broken.
