They have received their theological training at Knox College, Toronto, one of the out standing theological institutions on the continent, which is maintained by the Presbyterian Church in Canada for the training of the ministry. TERRACE Tne Terrace Par- en Teacher Association had r.s its guest speakers for Thursday evening Mrs. Godfrey lomas, Girl Guide Commissioner for British Columbia, and Mrs. Geo. Dover, of the Terrace and District Red Cross. Mrs. Lcmas stated that she always welcomed the opportunity cf speaking to P.T.A. or similar groups because it gave her the opportunity to explain the work and objectives of the Girl Guides and Brownies to the parents and fo gain their support. Then she procer-ded to state and explain three things important to a Brownie: the promise, the salute, and the uniform. The uniform gave the Brownlp a sense of responsibility and she urged all parents who had Brownies to get uniforms for their daughters as toon as possible. She appealed for the help of the mothers to assist in training the Brownies and also in forming a local association to assist and support the leaders. Mrs. Dover spoke of the work of the Red Cross as it affected B.C. generally and Terrace in particular. She stated that thr Red Cross outpost liospita' to be established here will bo second largest outpost hospital In B.C. She asked for volunteers to donate blood when tho clinic comes to Terrace. ,Mf. Floyd Frank, who has Just attended the 25th annual convention of the B.C. P.T.A. in Victoria, was prcstnt and stated that Terrace hr.d the honor of standing fourth in member- Alp Increase for the year. Mrs. Frank will present her report on the convention at the June 5 meeting of the P.TA Final arrangements were made made for the presentation on May 12 and 15 of the play, "Laughing Gas." at the Terrace Theatre.
